ARISE officially launches to support cultural heritage and rural innovation in Sierra y Mancha Conquense

The ARISE project – Archaeological Routes for Inclusive Synergy & Entrepreneurship in Sierra y Mancha Conquense – has officially launched, marking the beginning of a new initiative aimed at strengthening rural-urban links through cultural heritage, digital innovation and territorial collaboration.

ARISE focuses on the Sierra y Mancha Conquense pilot region and is designed to help connect archaeological heritage, local services, businesses and territorial stakeholders through a shared digital environment. The project responds to the need for more integrated visitor information, stronger local visibility for rural businesses, and better coordination among the actors involved in heritage-based territorial development.

Over the course of the project, ARISE will develop and refine a digital platform supporting heritage discovery, route planning, local business visibility, stakeholder collaboration and data-driven territorial promotion. The initiative seeks to contribute not only to a better visitor experience, but also to broader rural attractiveness and more connected local development.

The launch of ARISE represents the first step in a wider process that combines cultural heritage valorisation, digital transformation and collaborative governance in the pilot region. Future project activities will include continued platform development, stakeholder engagement, dissemination and preparation for long-term sustainability and replication.
